FFEB (Factura Electrónica en Bolivia)

FFEB (Factura Electrónica en Bolivia) was held on 7-8th September 2023 in Santa Cruz (Bolivia) and I was asked to make a speech.

There were 33 countries’ delegations, in total of 130 participants.

Minister of Economia y Finanzas Publicas, Mr.Marcelo Montenegro, was also there, he gave an opening speech, mentioning that the importance of e-invoice for the county’s future growth.

In Central America, e-invoiced was introduced early 2000s, some countries offer country’s standard format.  The usage of simple and validated e-invoice is very important for efficiency, antifraud and automation, which bring a lot of seen and unseen advantages for the growth of the economy and the elevation of the quality of life, according to many ministers in presence.

My presentation was about the possible usage of blockchain technology for e-invoice and also about Japan Peppol initiatives.  JP PINT 3 specifications are now available, and the Japanese government is strongly focusing on SME’s digitalization for B2B transactions.

Japan Peppol Initiatives were taken also in the G7 Summit.  The Japanese government is working on also possibilities of cross border transactions using PINT.
